David T. Thibodeau is Managing Director of Wellvest Capital. David is a seasoned corporate finance executive within the wellness industry with a successful history of entrepreneurship, corporate strategy, mergers & acquisitions and equity raising. He was an early player in the consumer health and wellness sector where he has developed a particular expertise over the last 25+ years. Prior to Wellvest Capital, David spent 10 years at the investment bank Canaccord Genuity (formerly Adams, Harkness and Hill). As the head of the Health, Wellness and Lifestyle corporate finance group he focused on mergers, acquisitions, public and private financings. David led the evolution of the firm's Healthy Living practice into the broader and more robust Health, Wellness and Lifestyle sector. Over that time David was an advisor on many of the industry’s leading and transformative M&A transactions that have defined the evolution of the emerging wellness industry. Examples of these transactions include:
David began his career in 1980 in commercial lending at Comerica Bank, Detroit, MI. In 1983, he left the commercial banking business to pursue several entrepreneurial activities and over the next several years co-founded two companies that were instrumental in developing his financial management, multi-channel marketing, manufacturing process and distribution skills. The first was a rustic furniture manufacturer which originated as a mail order business and evolved into a multi-channel marketer of unique Adirondack style furniture. The second was a specialty/natural food company that manufactured and marketed natural peanut butter and unique chocolate/peanut butter products through a retail outlet, by mail-order, and wholesale distribution through the specialty, natural and conventional classes of trade. This early exposure to the natural products industry was instrumental in developing David’s early understanding of and passion for the wellness industry as it exists today.
After selling the last of these companies in 1990, he joined the founder of Yoplait Yogurt USA to start Boston Bay Management, a corporate development firm focusing on strategic and operational expansion of domestic and international companies in the natural and specialty food business. Clients included KEA Dairy and AKVA Spring Water, both based in Akureyri, Iceland; Sigma Alimentos in Monterrery, Mexico; Kettle Cuisine, Vermont Butter and Cheese and ZonePerfect Nutrition.
Upon his partner's retirement, David joined Wellfleet Capital Partners, a small boutique merchant bank providing merger and acquisition and private-placement advisory services to small and mid-sized companies, primarily in the healthy living sector. He was recruited to join Canaccord Genuity in 2000.
David earned an undergraduate degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Babson College, Wellesley, MA, graduating with honors. Over the years he has been an active volunteer and is currently a member of the Board of Overseers for the Boys and Girls Club of Boston. David is an avid downhill and cross country skier, enjoys golf and tennis, is an active outdoorsman, and has been a private pilot since he was 18 years old. David and his wife of 20 years, Charlotte, live in historic Beacon Hill, Boston and very much enjoy the special relationships they have developed with their 24 nieces and nephews.

Adel is an early adaptor of web analytics technology leading to improved customer’s segmentation and targeted marketing that drove multi-channel marketing strategy for the Aging market and Wellness sector.
In 2009 Dr. Laoui was selected as one of the top 100 leaders that would drive the new Sanofi R&D, transforming the pharmaceutical disease management focus into a diversified healthcare company with a patient-centered and preventive population-based approach.
